25 Years in High-Domain Product and Platform Design

AAA Travel Scout mobile travel planning platform designed with BCG Digital Ventures

I design and build products inside complex systems, where business, technology, and execution have to align.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked across enterprise organizations, venture-backed teams, and premium brands, leading efforts that span strategy, product development, and execution.

This includes defining product direction, shaping systems, and delivering experiences that need to perform under real conditions. The goal is always the same: build products that not only attract, but hold up in the environments they’re built for.

As those conditions evolve, so do the tools. I integrate emerging technologies into the product system when they improve how things are designed, built, and operated. This includes integrating AI and automation, but only when they meaningfully extend capability and strengthen execution.

A life of design means keeping true to the practice while maintaining commercial integrity.

Experience

Built Inside Teams Where Execution Matters

From global organizations to venture-backed teams, the work has been built within high-domain environments where performance is expected.

I like bold ideas, taking risks, and working within constraints. I’m drawn to complex, real-world problems; I’m fascinated with engineering.

In these environments, decisions are tied to systems, timelines, and real consequences. Design has to move with the business, respond to technical realities, and hold up under real use. All while creating experiences, brands, and artifacts people connect with.

Where I Operate Best

Shaped through years of working across enterprise, venture, and product environments.
1/
Complex-domain industries

I work best on products that exist inside larger systems, where decisions connect across teams, platforms, and operations.

2/
High-stakes execution

Where timelines matter, constraints are real, and decisions have downstream impact beyond the product itself.

3/
Early or transitional phases

Where direction is still forming, value is evolving, ambiguity is common, and teams need clarity to move forward.

4/
Cross-functional alignment

Where product, engineering, and business need to move together, not in sequence.

Where I Engage

My work typically begins at moments of change, when complexity and execution need to come together.
1/
Defining product direction inside complex systems

Designing the structural logic that aligns strategy, operations, and experience across the organization.

2/
Restructuring platforms and operating models

Translating strategy into modern digital platforms, workflows, and operating models that scale with the organization.

3/
Shaping brand and product meaning at scale

Defining the purpose, identity, and narrative logic that create durable differentiation beyond features.

4/
Turning product strategy into shipped experiences

Translating strategy, identity, and operational logic into shipped products that perform in the real world.

5/
Working with teams at early or transitional stages

Partnering with venture teams to define category, structure product decisions, and enter the market with coherence.
